If you're interested in coming along to Perth Gospel Hall you will (hopefully!) find all you need to know on this page. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch!
Where?
Our official address is Huntingtower Road, Perth, PH1 2LH, but if you're using a Sat Nav you may find it easier to enter "Balgowan Road."
For those who have lived in Perth for a while, you may know the building as it was previously the Letham Farmhouse Hotel.
We have a car park with plenty spaces, including a couple of disabled spaces. If the car park is full there is also parking on the street.
For anyone travelling by bus, the nearest bus stops are on Rannoch Road and Newhouse Road.
When you arrive, there are two entrances to the building, one at the front where someone will meet you at the door to welcome you and another round the side which allows wheelchair access if required.
When?
The best service for new visitors to attend is our weekly Good News @ 4, which is at 4-4.40pm every Sunday. Tea and coffee is served from around 3.45pm and you can then take a seat for the service commencing.
We have a number of other services and activities at the Gospel Hall throughout the week, including a Sunday School (Sunday 2.30pm) and a Parent and Toddlers Group (Thursday 9.30am). Details of all our services can be found here.
What?
What to expect (at Good News @ 4) - when you arrive someone will welcome you at the door and direct you to the serving hatch if you'd like a drink. If you'd prefer just to go straight in and grab a seat you are welcome to do that!
What to wear - we have no specific dress code, so feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Some people come smart, others come casual, and some in-between! You'll be made very welcome regardless.
What to bring - if you have your own Bible feel free to bring it . However, copies are available at the Gospel Hall for you to use (and take away if you like). If you'd prefer to just listen, rather than look up any readings, that is absolutely fine. Often we have pictures up on the screen anyway.
We don't take up a collection any of our services or activities, so there is no need to bring any money with you.
Who?
At Perth Gospel Hall we have people from the local community, others from different parts of Perth, and some who travel in from towns and villages across Perthshire.
There is a broad mix of people who come along. Different backgrounds, nationalities, professions and ages, including children and teenagers, couples and families, right through to those who are a little more advanced in years! For those with young families, if your children get a little restless during the service, you are welcome to take them through to the rear hall, or to one of the rooms upstairs, where you will still be able to listen to the service.
The bottom line is... EVERYONE IS WELCOME! So please come along and join us when you're free.
